Florida handed the Patriots a decisive 73-58 loss with the help of not only Humphrey's efforts from beyond the arc, but Corey Brewer's 19 points and Al Horford's 13 rebounds. Florida went on to beat UCLA 73-57 to win the tournament.

  • Eleventh seed George Mason stunned UCONN in an upset that earned them a spot in the Final Four. The Patriots beat the top seeded Huskies 86-84 despite being down by twelve points late in the first half. The Patriots came back in the second half with a flurry of three pointers to push the game into OT, where they went 5 for 6 from the field to finish off the Huskies.

The Patriots led by as much as 19 points in the second half, however, Wichita State staged a late comeback to bring the game within 7 points with less than a minute left. The Patriots ultimately held on and advanced to the next round where they upset UCONN 86-84.
