In one of the most captivating runs through the tournament, Butler's amazing bid at the National Championship ended with a crowd of 71,000 fans holding their breath as Gordon Hayward's half court, 3-point attempt bounced off the rim. The Blue Devils' 61-59 win brought a much-deserved fourth national title back home to Coach K and Duke's storied program.

Duke flew past West Virginia on their way to the title game with a lopsided 78-57 win in the national semis. Jon Scheyer, 23 points and Nolan Smith, 19 points led the Blue Devils to victory and their first trip to the National Championship since they won it back in 2001.

Duke's Nolan Smith scored a career-high 29 points as the Blue Devils knocked off Baylor 78-71. The win marked the school's 11th Final Four berth under Coach K. Duke went on to beat West Virginia decisively in the semis and then ultimately taking home the 2010 title.

In a decisive 70-57 win, Duke rolled past Purdue on their way to the Elite Eight for the first time since 2004. Duke's Kyle Singler finished a solid night with 24 points, while Purdue's JaJuan Johnson posted a respectable effort as well with 23 points. The Blue Devils went on to defeat Baylor and move one steps closer to becoming the 2010 national champions.

Villanova handed Duke its fifth straight Sweet 16 loss during a 77-54 blowout. Duke leapt to a 5-0 lead, however Villanova quickly caught up and never looked back. The Wildcats posted a tournament record 14th victory over a higher seeded team, with the help of Dante Cunningham's 14 points and 11 rebounds. Villanova went on to the Elite Eight where they beat Pittsburgh in a nail-biter.

LSU handed Duke an upset with a 62-54 loss on their way to the later rounds. Shelden Williams posted solid numbers with 23 points and 13 rebounds, however LSU's stingy defense kept the other Blue Devils in check, and thus earning a spot in the Elite Eight where they beat Texas by ten.

Michigan State upset No.1 seeded Duke 78-68 thanks to Paul Davis' 20 points and 12 rebounds. Ten clutch free throws in the last 68 seconds finally earned Spartans' head coach Tom Izzo his first win over Duke and Coach K. Michigan State went on to the Elite Eight where they played Kentucky in one of the most exciting games in tournament history.

UConn rallied from behind scoring 12 straight to beat Duke 79-78 in an unforgettable comeback. UConn's Ben Gordon and All-American Emeka Okafor each scored 18 points in a thriller that led the Huskies to the National Championship where they walked away victorious against Georgia Tech.

No. 1 seed Duke edged out Xavier in a 66-63 game that allowed the Blue Devils to reach the next round. Duke's Luol Deng led the night with 19 points while an injured Chris Duhon kept the Musketeers defense in check. The close win advanced Duke into the Final Four where they met the UConn Huskies in a down-to-the-wire thriller.

Playing with a painful rib injury, Duke's Chris Duhon inspired his team to deliver a 72-62 win over Illinois by snagging a career-high 10 rebounds and dishing out eight assists. The game was close until about midway through the second half when the Blue Devil's took off and grabbed their spot in the Elite Eight and eventually the Final Four.

Nick Collision had a huge night with 33 points and 19 rebounds as No. 2 Kansas squeaked by No. 3 Duke 69-65 in a much anticipated battle. Kansas ultimately avenged their loss against Duke in the 1991 title game and went on to make it to the National Championship once again where they took on the Orangemen.

Trailing by 17 points going into the second half, the Indiana Hoosiers rallied to upset top-seeded Duke 74-73 in a game decided in the final seconds. Jared Jeffries' 24 points and 15 rebounds helped the Hoosiers overcome a season-high 23 turnovers and beat the defending champs on their way to the title game against Maryland.

National player of the year Shane Battier led the Blue Devils to their third national championship after defeating the Arizona Wildcats 82-72. Battier collected 18 points, 11 rebounds, six assists and two blocked shots, while Mike Dunleavy Jr. netted 21 points. Although Arizona trailed by just two at halftime, the Blue Devils dominated the final five minutes of play, even holding Arizona scoreless for the remaining 2:50 seconds. The Blue Devils' Mike Krzyzewski tied Bob Knight, his college coach at Army, with three national championships and his ninth title game appearance.

Duke trailed 11 points at the half but were able to pick up the pace and speed past Maryland in a 95-84 heartbreaker. Shane Battier's 25 points Jason Williams' 23 helped Duke win their 34th game of the season and book a trip to the title game where they beat the Arizona Wildcats and walked away national champs.

Jason Williams' 28 points and Shane Battier's fourth consecutive double-double led the Blue Devils to their 13th Final Four appearance ever. The Trojans' David Bluthenthal and Sam Clancy tried to keep the night interesting with a combined 36 points and 24 rebounds, however, Duke prevailed and took one step closer to clinching the 2001 national championship.

Jason Williams tied his career-high point total with 34, including 19 straight in the second half to lead Duke to a 73-64 win over UCLA. Naismith Award winner Shane Battier added 24 points and 11 boards to help move the Blue Devils once step closer to becoming the 2001 national champs.

Florida wore down the nation's top-ranked team en route to an 87-78 victory at the Carrier Dome. The fifth-seeded Gators (27-7) rallied from a six-point deficit and held Duke scoreless for the final four minutes of the game. Shane Battier collected 20 points and nine rebounds while Chris Carrawell added 16 of his own to take Florida one step closer to their matchup with Michigan State for the title.
